Google changes Motorola Mobility Logo

The mobility division of the company Motorola, Motorola Mobility, has changed its logo. After it was acquired by Google, that has given its touch to the logo, leaving the characteristic letter M in grey and surrounding it with a circle of colors. It clarifies at the bottom is already a company Google enterprise property.

The new logo also changes the font, in which the italic and bold old typography is replaced by grey letters  much more refined and elegant and  they also included the phrase “Google company”.


Google acquired Motorola Mobility in August 2011. The transaction was completed by 1,200 million dollars (922 million euros), an operation which has been  approved by the boards of both companies. According to Google, this purchase would strengthen the system to Google Android and increase competition in the mobile technology sector.
Almost two years after the announcement of the acquisition, Google has unveiled the new logo of this division of Motorola. As reported by The Verge, the characteristic M black framed in a red circle gives way to a gray M circled with various colors, very Google. Also at the bottom of Mountain View company makes it clear who owns this division of the U.S. company with the phrase “A Google Company” (a Google company).
